This year, JVTA Los Angeles celebrated their 15th anniversary with a Japanese-to-English Subtitling Contest where contestants translated lines from a 30-second scene of a film. Out of many contestants, one first prize winner and two second prize winners were awarded on September 1st. JVTA also had the pleasure of applauding the winners by holding an award ceremony at the Japan Film Festival Los Angeles 2023 on September 17th.
