Japan Visualmedia Translation Academy (JVTA) was established in 1996. Starting out as a vocational training school specializing in visual media translation, we have cultivated over 25 years of experience managing visual media translation projects. During these 25 years, the growth of the internet and streaming platforms, digitalization of the workplace, and corporations’ actions for the SDGs have greatly changed the environment surrounding visual media. To adapt to these newly emerged demands, we at JVTA have continued to expand our business. Currently, in addition to English-to-Japanese, Japanese-to-English, and translations to and from several other languages, we also handle closed captioning and audio description projects to make visual media content accessible for a wider audience. Furthermore, we provide a unique range of services that respond to our clients’ needs, such as the development of global talent at educational institutions, leasing of media specialists, source language training courses (Japanese and English), production of PR videos aimed at overseas markets, and submission of works to overseas film festivals on behalf of our clients.
