JVTA provided the English and Italian subtitles for director Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s newest film Evil Does Not Exist. The film was selected for competition in the 80th Venice International Film Festival.

JVTA provided the English and Italian subtitle translations for Evil Does Not Exist, the latest film by Ryusuke Hamaguchi. Hamaguchi is best known for Drive My Car, which won the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film in 2022. JVTA has worked on the English subtitles for many of Hamaguchi’s films in the past, including Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy, The Sound of Waves, Intimacies and Touching the Skin of Eeriness. Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy won the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize at the 71st Berlin International Film Festival.

Evil Does Not Exist is in the Competition lineup of the 80th Venice International Film Festival, which will be held from August 30th in Venice, Italy. It is competing for the Golden Lion, the highest prize at the festival.
